Glen Alexander has been teaching fiddle for 30 years and is well known regionally for his contributions, awarded this year by the NCBMA, he continues to preserve fiddling for the future. He has won many times at fiddle contests, the most coveted wins from Galax VA, where he's won four times. He has also recorded on 350 CD's. Steve Thomas:
Steve Thomas was born and raised in rural Virginia, where a deep connection to the land and a tradition of handmade bluegrass and country music shaped his early life. As he grew up, his natural talent led him from winning local fiddling contests to playing with renowned acts like Del McCoury, while personal and professional challenges—including a struggle with addiction—threatened to derail his career. Ultimately, these hardships became a turning point, allowing him to rediscover his roots, embrace redemption, and rebuild his life with the support of his community. Ben Probus:
Ben Probus is a seasoned musician, violin maker, and entrepreneur with an extensive career in the music industry. He has performed on the Grand Ole Opry, toured with country legends like Mark Chesnutt and Sammy Kershaw, and played in the ACM House Band for major events, including the Academy of Country Music’s 50th anniversary. Beyond performing, he has contributed to hundreds of recordings, sold thousands of instruments through Probus Violins, and founded Nashville Gig Finder to connect artists with opportunities. His work has also extended to television and film, with appearances on ABC’s Nashville and Hallmark productions.
