Our Premium Materials

Spruce Top Plates

Our top plates are German Alp spruce tops (Picea Abies). We source these exceptional tonewoods both locally and internationally, choosing only pieces with optimal grain structure and resonance properties. Each piece is quarter-sawn and naturally aged to ensure maximum stability and tonal excellence.

Curly Maple

The distinctive backs and sides of our instruments feature beautiful curly maple, primarily sourced from two specialist suppliers:

• A family-owned farm in Ohio that has been cultivating premium tonewoods for three generations
• A dedicated dealer in Oregon known for selecting exceptional figured maple

The characteristic flame pattern in our maple not only provides striking visual appeal but also contributes to the instrument's rich, warm tone.

Fine Ebony Components

For our fingerboards, pegs, and other detailed components, we use premium ebony sourced from established suppliers in Germany and India. This dense, durable wood provides the perfect material for parts that require both strength and precision.
